Croquet
Croquet has a long tradition as a summer sport in Waterville Valley. Today, the WVAIA continues in that tradition with equal parts skill, style and socializing. Part of the modern tradition includes the wearing of "whites" and hats, and the emphasis is on fun.
Every Sunday at 3 p.m., from the first Sunday in July until Labor Day weekend, croquet players convene on Greeley Hill Rd., at the site where Hans Rey, creator of the Curious George stories, used to swim every day of the summer. Everyone is welcome.
Championships are played on Labor day Monday at 10 a.m. with an awards luncheon following. For more information about croquet, please contact:
