Big Pines [WVAIA]
This is a short, EASY trail that leads to the banks of the Mad River [1600 ft], where there are some enormous White Pine trees.
It begins off Livermore Road, after the big Boulder on the right and a short rise in the road. It’s a thin little trail that winds through a flat evergreen forest. There are two short somewhat steep sections as you make your way down to the river’s flood plain, before the trail ends beside the Mad River.
